Breaking the Peace

Description

This oil painting shows the rare image of two zebra fighting for dominance. Normally viewed as peaceful creatures, during mating season these normally placid creatures can get very territorial. This rare image was based off of a photograph from my good friend and wildlife photographer Matt Akister. His  years being a game keeper and working with animals in Africa meant he managed to see this rare event. Painted with oils on a Linen Canvas.
